Printing

The Printing section provides visibility into the server's connected printers and the print jobs that have been sent through B2Win Suite. Use it to monitor printing activity, investigate failed jobs, and verify which printers are available to the system.

Accessing the Printing Section

Navigate to Configuration → Printing.

The Jobs tab lists all print jobs processed by B2Win Suite, with details including:

Job IDUnique identifier for the print job
Document NameName of the document that was printed
PrinterThe printer the job was sent to
StatusCurrent status of the job (completed, pending, failed)
CreatedDate and time the job was submitted
UserThe user who initiated the print job

Use this view to track which documents have been printed, identify stuck or failed jobs, and audit printing activity.

Server Printers

The Printers tab lists all printers connected to and accessible by the B2Win Suite server.

Printer NameThe system name of the printer
StatusCurrent availability status
LocationPhysical or logical location description (if set)

Only printers installed and accessible on the B2Win Suite server are listed here. Client-side printers (connected to a user's workstation) are not visible in this view.

Notes

  • Print jobs are submitted through B2Output's distribution system. To configure document printing workflows, see the B2Output documentation.
  • If a printer does not appear in the list, verify it is installed and accessible on the server and that the B2Win Suite application has permission to use it.
  • Historical print jobs are retained in the list for audit purposes. The retention period depends on your system's cleanup configuration.
